The Rush Lake Trek takes adventurers deep into the heart of the Nagar Valley. Starting from Hopper Valley, the trek follows the Hopper and Barpu Glaciers before climbing towards Rush Lake, the crown jewel of this route. This high-altitude alpine lake is surrounded by mighty peaks including Ultar Sar (7,388m), Spantik (7,027m), Malubiting (7,458m), and Rakaposhi (7,788m). The trek combines glaciers, meadows, villages, and stunning lake views, making it one of Pakistan’s most accessible high-altitude adventures.

Continue drive on KKH with breathtaking views of Nanga Parbat and Rakaposhi. Reach Karimabad, Hunza Valley’s cultural hub. Overnight in hotel.
Drive to Hopper Valley, the starting point of the trek. Meet local porters, enjoy views of Golden Peak, and camp in Hopper village.
Cross Hopper Glacier and trek to Bericho Kor, surrounded by mountains and glacier views. Overnight in camp.
A steep climb through alpine pastures leads to Chidin Harai. Excellent views of Ultar Peak and Ladyfinger. Camp overnight.
Trek to Rush Lake, one of the world’s highest alpine lakes. Camp beside the shimmering turquoise water with Rakaposhi in the backdrop.
Spend a day exploring Rush Lake surroundings. Optional hike to Rush Peak for panoramic views of Karakoram giants. Overnight at Rush Lake camp.
Begin descent from Rush Lake towards Phai Phai, retracing part of the trail. Camp with views of Hopper Glacier.
Continue trekking back through alpine pastures and glacier crossings to Hopper Valley. Overnight camp in the village.
Drive back to Karimabad. Free time to explore Baltit and Altit Forts, and Hunza’s traditional bazaars. Hotel overnight stay.
Optional day trips in Hunza, including Hoper Valley viewpoints or Eagle’s Nest. Great opportunity for cultural immersion. Overnight in Karimabad.
Drive back on the Karakoram Highway to Chilas. Overnight stay at hotel en route to Islamabad.
Drive back to Islamabad. Evening free for shopping or rest. Transfer to airport for departure.
