K2 Expedition 2025 - 2026

Overview

A full-service K2 expedition takes climbers from Islamabad into the Karakoram, through Skardu to Askole, then up the Baltoro Glacier to Concordia and K2 Base Camp. Teams spend multiple weeks establishing high camps and acclimatizing before attempting the summit via the Abruzzi/standard route (or a chosen technical line). Expedition durations are long to allow safe acclimatization and weather windows — commercial operators commonly schedule 50–60 day programs.
